Abdihakim Ibrahim Unveils Plan to Protect Every Taxpayer Dollar
Ibrahim announced a five-point anti-fraud agenda for Hennepin County:
- Launch a 100-day countywide fraud-risk review.
- Fully staff and strengthen the Fraud Prevention and Program Integrity Team (FPPI).
- Create a secure, countywide reporting system including a confidential hotline for fraud reports.
- Establish an independently vetted community advisory panel to review public reporting and recommend reforms.
- Bar individuals and entities responsible for fraud from receiving county contracts, grants, or provider payments.
"Hennepin County residents, especially families in District 3, cannot afford another term of throat-clearing, euphemisms, and excuses when it comes to public funds."
Ibrahim pledged to release a detailed policy memorandum following the August 11 primary election.
